The chapter start with Frankenstein being startled at First Elder's offer seeing how the latter called him traitor of Union and now apparently wants him to join the same organization.
First Elder answers that he is totally impressed by Frankenstein. Frankenstein, without relying on others, was able to become so strong and furthermore the Union was never able to find any info about him. So First Elder wants his abilities...for the greater good of human race of course.
The Third Elder analyze that the loyalty isn't really required as other Elders (who are now dead) were never loyal to Union but Union was able to benefit greatly from them. Similarly from Frankenstein all they want is his abilities and talent. Not loyalty.
First Elder tries to entice Frankenstein with unimaginable powers and status Frankenstein could have if he joined the Union. He could be a ruler and lead the human race to be the main species on Earth by exterminating the other species which have harmed the human race.
Frankenstein scoffs off the offer by saying that it was the humans who have committed the most heinous crime on the human race. For power and status humans have sacrificed their race members.
First Elder is rather taken aback by the refusal. He has no choice but to kill Frankenstein. The battle resumes...
Frankenstein is not able to put much of a fight as his attention is diverted to control the berserk Dark Spear who is trying to devour him. The Dark Spear is taking the advantage of Frankenstein's injured state. First Elder notices this and says that the weapon which was supposed to lead Union to evolution is nothing but a waste since it tries to devour its own master. He has no interest in Dark Spear now.
First Elder inform Frankenstein that after killing him he would kill the others who have left the battle field. The First Elder tells him that he would exterminate the Noblesse as well whom Frankenstein cares about. RIP.
As you would expect Frankenstein goes berserk after hearing the remark against his master.
Frankenstein goes all out, and First Elder finds himself having no advantage over his opponent. In the fight First Elder takes head on injuries for the first time.
Frankenstein throws his Dark Spear on First Elder who easily dodge it.
First Elder mocks Frankenstein by saying that it was a useless attack. Frankenstein finds it funny as his target was not First Elder but Haydn who was behind First!! Haydn is pierced by the Dark Spear !
The Elders finally realize that Frankenstein played First Elder. The recent moves were to distract the First so that Frankenstein can kill Haydn.
This time there is no one in between Dark Spear and it's meal. Dark Spear devour Haydn! First Elder notices how Frankenstein's strength is increasing after the absorption of Haydn by Dark Spear.
The devil blames his girlfriend by saying that she felt neglected when First Elder discarded her so she went after his subordinate instead. The devil has no choice but to fulfill the wishes of his lover ! Next would be First Elder's turn. Surely one can't say no to his gf!
(Frankenstein actually called Dark Spear his girlfriend and lover. I'm not joking).
