The chapter open with Third Elder leaving the battlefield as he contemplate about the power of Dr. Crombell. Third Elder regrets not listening to 12th Elder who has found some clues on Crombell's activities. The prideful and not-giving-a-damn attitude of the Elders have resulted in the current crisis.
Suddenly the Third Elder senses a strong attack on himself. He successfully dodges the attack.
The attacker is none other than everyone's favorite Yuri!
Yuri greets Third Elder in his signature style and introduce himself as a "low ranking" agent something which Third Elder doesn't agree with. Third Elder was able to feel that Yuri is anything but weak in the previous attack. (I guess having that new mask has done wonders for Yuri).
Dr. Aris also enter the scene. She feels delightful when Third Elder identifies her by her name. She feels disappointed as well since Third Elder run away from a fight. She feels Third Elder would be a perfect opponent for her to test her new powerup. Dr. Aris would love to have a handsome fellow like Third Elder for her experiments! Third Elder is shocked by the power displayed by Crombell's henchmen.
In the werewolves land, Rai is worried about cockroach-nim.
He thinks about cockroach-nim's sacrifice which has given him new life. The reckless actions of Muzaka helped Rai's bodym. Rai feels guilty and wants to transfer the power back to Muzaka.
Frankenstein enters the lab with werewolf warriors. The loyal servant is able to understand Rai's plan. Frankenstein explain to Rai that if he tries to transfer back the power it would be dangerous for both Rai and Muzaka. Rai still wants to transfer the power back but Frankenstein warns Rai. If Rai transfers the power back then Frankenstein wouldn't help in Muzaka's recovery. Rai is startled by Frankenstein's words and leave the lab.
Lunark ask Frankenstein how he could behave such in front of his master. Frankenstein explain the dangerous consequences of transferring back the power. Furthermore Muzaka is recovering thanks to Frankenstein's treatment. Still Frankenstein wants to awaken cockroach-nim as soon as possible otherwise Rai might try to transfer the power back.
Rai is in the forest for a stroll. Garda, who has regained her voice thanks to Frankenstein, joins Rai as well for a stroll.
Rai is guilty for the crisis in werewolf race. If Rai hasn't clashed with Muzaka 820 years ago then Garda wouldn't have suffered the torture she suffered. Perhaps the werewolves wouldn't face the current crisis as well.
Garda disagree as everything was Maduke's fault.
But Rai still feels himself responsible as he has decided to stop Muzaka from his revenge when the latter has lost his daughter.
Instead of consoling his friend Rai gave more priority to his duty. Now in the present he has taken away Muzaka's life-force.
Garda correct Rai. She says that Muzaka would never want Rai to blame himself for his actions. Muzaka transferred his life-force on his own free will so the current thinking of Rai would be something which Muzaka would never agree.
She also clarifies that Muzaka didn't blamed Rai for stopping him 820 years ago. She remembers the words Muzaka said to her before he transfered his life-force. Muzaka blamed himself for forcing Rai to make such a decision.
Rai contemplate about Garda's words...

ReplyDeleteAlso, I know that this is not that likely, but I really hope that 1st and 3rd Elder can live. I'm a bit attached to them, and I feel like they don't deserve to die, at least not yet. Therefore, someone please use everyone's favourite Yuri and Aris' beautiful faces to whip the floor clean again, thank you :)

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, I assume it's just one of those things that always exists. That said, I think Rai might be grooming Frankie to be the next Noblesse/equivalent power check for when Rai inevitably passes on.

ReplyDeleteCould be. But it seems Dr. Crombell got a RRREEEAAALLY strong Power-up also just recently. Why? Easy! Because "now" suddenly Dr. Aris and Yuriri have gotten a huge Powerup. Since nobody in the Union truly trusts everyone else -> Crombell wouldn't have gotten these Two a Power-up before he himself wouldn't be stronger than they would become. ;-)
